Handyvan: Low cost home repairs service for over 60s and carers of all ages. A full year’s membership costs only £12 per annum (£9 for those receiving income related benefits). You are entitled to a wide range of home improvements carried out by Help & Care’s specially trained Handyvan team. Our rates are just £15 (£12) an hour for each job plus materials and our work is guaranteed to please.
Carer’s Outreach: Provides short-term one to one support for carers, visits carer’s groups and advises on setting up groups.
Sitting Service: A service available to carer’s in areas covered by Poole Borough Council and Dorset County Council. Provides a subsidised sitter to enable a carer to have a break.
Care and Repair: Gives advice on how to organise repairs or adaptations to help you maintain or adapt your home. Currently available to clients from the Bournemouth and Poole areas only.
