Care 2 Work
A project ran by Dorset Adult Learning to support unpaid carers in overcoming the barriers to learning and training which will aide their return to paid or voluntary work. The project is offering unpaid carers in Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole FREE information, advice and guidance on learning and work opportunities. Care to Work is also able to offer support with the costs of courses, child care, transport and sitting services.

Longmead House
Last year Green Pastures Christian Centre of Pastoral Care and Healing took over responsibility of running Longmead, a house with 6 acres of grounds in Milborne St Andrew in West Dorset. The aim of the project is to build a therapeutic Christian community.
We are establishing a Steering Group and network of people to develop the project. We are casting the net widely in the belief that there are people out there who might be caught by the vision. We need individuals who wil help to construct the walls of the vision over the next few years.
We are looking for: A spiritual director/chaplain - people with knowledge of community - people with experience of land or buildings - architects and builders - thinkers and planners - networkers - practical workers - fund raisers - professionals from the therapeutic world
